About the Role:
 
As a Dual Qualified Electrical and Mechanical Technician (Millwright), you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the reliability and performance of the dairy production plant. This position involves hands-on maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will report to the Asset Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machinery: Maintain and perform fault finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment. Ensure all machinery is safe, efficient, and fit for purpose.
  • Electrical: Maintain, install, inspect, and repair electrical and electronic components. Calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic systems to meet operational standards.
  • Preventative: Maintain accurate records and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize plant availability.
  • Monitor Key Metrics: Collaborate with production and quality teams to drive continuous improvement in OEE. Track maintenance metrics such as MTBF and Mean Time to Repair MTTR.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Be available on-call (on a roster) to address breakdowns and urgent repairs.
  • Adhere to Safety Management Systems and work safely to prevent risks to yourself and others. Proactively address safety issues.

About You:

  • Dual Mechanical and Electrical Trade Certificate/ Millwright or equivalent.
  • EWRB license
  • Proven experience in maintenance within a processing plant, preferably in the food processing industry.
  • Flexible to support day and night shifts, including callouts.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Computer literate with familiarity in problem-solving and risk identification tools.
  • Results-driven, proactive problem-solver with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
